Our region has everything -- world-class research universities and laboratories, cutting-edge fusion companies, precision manufacturers, and a skilled workforce—for building from the ground up a dynamic, resilient fusion energy industry with good-paying jobs.

The Great Lakes Fusion Energy Alliance is increasing awareness of our unmatched industrial and academic research strengths around fusion energy and growing the number of regional manufacturing companies engaged in helping to make fusion energy viable.

Our goal is to facilitate win-win collaborations that leverage the region’s commercial and academic fusion energy expertise and advanced manufacturing prowess to solve the problems involved in building a fusion energy industry.
